The Captain's Club is a Florida not-for-profit corporation that was incorporated on February 11, 1968. It's first clubhouse was located at Jacksonville Yacht Basin (now Palm Cove Marina) on Beach Boulevard at the Intracoastal Waterway. In 1990, the Club renovated its present clubhouse on Beach Boulevard just west of Hodges Road. The clubhouse includes a restaurant kitchen, a 120 seat dining area, several lounges, and is available for rental. The Club's mission includes encouraging and promoting programs devoted to boating safety and education, conservation of marine natural resources, and supporting activities that encourage the recreational use of the waterways in Northeast Florida. The Club holds business meetings on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 8:00 p.m. Second and fourth Tuesday nights are reserved for programs on topics of local boating interest. Recent speakers have included Pete Ison, recently retired dockmaster of the City of Jacksonville, Sam Kouvaris, and Al Sandrik from the National Weather Service. A light supper is served before the Tuesday night meetings. There is a charge for supper and reservations are required. If you are interested in
attending a meeting, please contact The Captain's Club for an invitation or
